Saturday Morning Maintenance
This article is part of a series:
More maintained and mended at my current 911 project:
– New gear oil. As we all know some kind of pump, manual or electrical, is required to do this. Proxon’s offering with 12V connector is a good deal.
– After the recent repair of the window lifters, now for some weeks their fuse had sporadically blown. It took a while to reveal a pattern, eventually I realised the sound of the melting fuse when I opened the door to the stop. The cause of the problem was a trapped and frayed cable which I could repair with a new kind of tape that melts to a shrinking tube-like insulation. Good product!
– Boot seals re-glued.
– A nice and clean tank nozzle.
